Writer

For a quarter century I have worked in the field of communications primarily as a (long copy)writer and editor.

I called Australia home, first. My parents, both originally from Indonesia, brought me into the world in country Victoria. I made my pilgrimage to Melbourne in my teens. I chose Sydney in my twenties. And in my third decade, I repeated history and emigrated – to the Netherlands. Not only did I fall in love with the Dutch language, I fell in love with the culture and its people. After 14 years, it was time for yet another transition. Hard as it was to leave the lowlands, New Zealand drew the long straw, in 2020.

I have grown into my place on this planet. Things have happened to me. I have happened to other people.

So it is, that I use my voice and tell my stories, and those of others. I’ve discovered throughout my life that I can be kaleidescopic.
