I was approached to write catalogue copy for Inti, a knitwear company dreamt up by Dutch designers, using yarn from Peru, and knitted by local women in Ecuador. In a little town called Helmond I wrote product, social (Instagram and Pinterest) and PR copy for Vlisco – the iconic Dutch brand that has been designing wax print fabric for the African diaspora since the 1870s. When Peet Nieuwenhuijsen from Musicalz asked me to translate some lyrics for potential investors from his Zodiac musical (from Dutch to English), I jumped at the chance.
